Dear friend of Buicks,

The time to make a commitment to running the 2011 Buick Club of America National Meet is now!  It is a great honor and privilege to host our international club with up to 500 cars and twice that many members, many of whom still recall the 1998 National Meet in Danvers, Mass. as one of the best Nationals since the inception of the Buick Club of America in 1966.

Of course, circumstances have changed since 1998 in the Minuteman Chapter necessitating that new blood be infused into the management of such a large undertaking.  The directors of the Minuteman Chapter have decided that the wherewithal to accomplish this is present provided that enough people commit in writing to providing support.  It will require attendance at planning meetings not less than once a month, outside of any other club activities you may choose to attend.  The National Meet would be preceded by a Regional Meet hosted by the Minuteman Chapter in Mansfield, Mass. in August 2010.  This would require much less effort to accomplish, but is an important step in preparing for a National Meet.
